The pic is Fritz. He is donning his BA (breathing apparatus) set correctly in a set time as close as possible to 90seconds. Fritz is one of 36 volunteers of the Merbein Fire brigade. The set comprises of mask, air tank, harness and other attachments some of which are tally tags, distress signal unit.  The Merbein Fire Brigade is run solely on volunteer input. New members are most welcome, age group is from 16 years +. Brigade meetings are conducted on the 2nd Thursday of the month. Training nights are conducted on the 3rd and 4th Thursday of the month.
