July Market

A beautiful winter day for the July market .Stall numbers were down with the dreaded flu (,just 79.}but the people didn,t seem to mind and were spending well. The vegetable stalls and Seafood truck were sold out early and other stall holders said they had a good day.Community Rodeo and Masonic Lodge had the Sausage Sizzles and the Raffle a $100.00 Fishers voucher was won by Chris Dichiera red C31was well patronized. This certainly helps with the market expenses.
Next market the Merbein 100year centennial and are expecting a large number of stalls. They are booking in now. The marketeers have been asked to dress in yesteryear ,so it will be a good fun day.The Centennial Settlers Picnic in Kenny Park is to follow the market with lots of family fun and entertainment
Bendigo District and Community Bank has given the Merbein Progressive Group a $1500.00 grant for new office equipment. That will certainly make the running of the market a lot easier.
So till next month, Remember "It is hard to frown while you are smiling"
